A new challenger to the audiophile scene has arrived from Japan to take on the Audio-Technicas and Grados of the world. Fostex’s TH900 ($2,300) boasts 50mm dynamic drivers with 1.5 tesla magnetic flux density and an earcup housing finished in a lacquer that is done by the centuries-old Sakamoto Lacquer Shop of Japan.
