It turns out that all of the special edition Porsches this past summer – like the Mayfair Edition and Black Edition – were all leading up to something big: the new 2017 Porsche 911. Set to hit dealerships next spring, the new 911 sees the body’s smooth curves left mostly intact from last year’s edition, but things get interesting under the hood. In place of the usual naturally aspirated engines, this Porsche goes turbo with a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that delivers 370 HP and 420 HP for the “S” model. The new model also sees the brand’s new Porsche Active Suspension Management system, a lowered ride height, and the new Porsche Communication Management system with gesture controls and Google Earth, Streetview, and Apple CarPlay stock.
