Chicago Rapper Rhymefest Buys Kanye West's Childhood Home for “Community Arts Incubator”

Longtime Kanye West affiliate, Rhymefest, has just announced that he has purchased West’s childhood home with plans to convert the space into a “community arts incubator.” The South Side home will tentatively also become the hub for ‘Ye’s youth charity organization, the Donda House Program. Rhymefest took to Instagram to make the announcement earlier today saying:

I’m excited to announce the purchase of Kanye’s childhood home as a community Arts incubator. It will be the first of our Nationwide Lite-Houses. A state of the art recording studio, a curriculum space for @dondashouse and southside music museam. We want to show bright spots in communities thatve been divested from, we know more Lights exist here, they just need to be activated. Please click the link in my bio & Donate to DondasHouse, support our efforts to support our youth. #givingtuesday

Rhymefest currently serves as the creative director for Donda’s House Program, which is a nonprofit that provides art curriculum to the youth of Chicago. More information on the space and how to donate can be found here.
