Star Wars fans will rejoice as we’re just two weeks away from the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the franchise’s eighth film. Inspired by characters from the movie — Sergeant Jyn Erso, Captain Cassian Andor, and the Imperial Death Trooper — Columbia Sportswear will be releasing a collection of limited-edition jackets. “The Columbia team worked closely with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media throughout this collaboration to ensure that the jackets are an authentic representation for discerning Star Wars fans”, Columbia stated in their press release. The pieces are made to stand up to the cold and wet weather of winter.
Captain Cassian Andor’s Rebel Parka features premium fabrics and a sherpa-lined hood with detachable faux fur trim detail and will retail for $500 USD. The Imperial Death Trooper Jacket is an OutDry Extreme Diamond Shell Jacket with striking design lines and pop color chest zippers costing $450 USD. Lastly, Jyn Erso’s Rebel Jacket is made from stretch twill cotton and features rugged leather-look details on the sleeves and throughout and can be styled with or without the vest; it will retail for $400 USD.
The collection will be available for purchase at columbia.com on December 9 and at select retailers.
