Converse Gives the One Star a Utilitarian Upgrade

Converse’s One Star is getting a major upgrade this season with the introduction of a tech-heavy makeover for Fall/Winter 2016. Aptly dubbed the One Star ’74 Tech, the new design takes 1974′s version of the star-branded low-top and imbues it with some technical utility. The result is a design that fuses the old school with the new school and one that’s water-repellant to boot. The shoe even employs reflective stars along with Nike’s Lunarlon cushioning, as well as a buckle closure system to add to the utilitarian aesthetic.

The One Star ‘74 Tech drops in two different colorways at Converse spots and converse.com this Friday, November 18.
