Dr. Dre is Working on New Music, According to Anderson .Paak

Last year, Dr. Dre made a musical return with his album Compton, which acted as a soundtrack for the successful N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton. Only months have passed, but it looks like the Doc is back with some new material. Anderson .Paak, who has contributed heavily to Dre’s album, reveals in a new interview with BBC Radio that Dre is back in the studio working on some new material. Paak shares discreetly: “He’s working right now, doing a lot of work right now. I can’t really speak on it.” Anderson also speaks about his experience working with Dre on Compton:

“It was so quick [recording with Dre], 80/90 percent of what I did was used and then it was out,” he said. “That’s not usually the case with Dre. A lot of people who work with Dre, you’re lucky if anything sees the light of day. It was a blessing to have all that stuff go to market at the pace it did. It’s cool to be able to work with him at this place in his career when he’s just ready to go.”
