In the last conversation we had with San Holo three months ago, the Dutch electronic music artist had a lot to say about his dreams and visions. We’re excited to witness the coming-to-life of these said dreams so we’ve linked up with San to exclusively premiere the first single from his forthcoming compilation Gouldian Finch. Titled “Still Looking,” it’s released via his own creative company & record label bitbird. Just like the material we’ve heard in his latest EP, New Sky, San embarks on a new sonic direction for this track. “Still Looking” flawlessly blends an assortment of melodic synth riffs and chopped vocal samples backboned by a substantial yet uncluttered combination of drums and basses. The producer shares with us:
“Really happy to announce that I’ll be releasing my new single, “Still Looking,” on my own imprint bitbird on June 7th! These past years have been an amazing journey. I’ve had the honor to tour the world, release on some of the best labels in the world and meet so many inspiring people. It’s been a crazy trip. Through all this I’ve been able to learn a lot about myself, but also about this music industry that we operate in. I’ve always had the idea of starting a label and I’ve been working closely with my team to make this a reality. bitbird is a creative place where we can showcase beautiful art and assist artists in the best way we can. I really believe we can bring something new to the game. We’re excited to break some boundaries!”
