New Balance Brings Football Home With Launch of British-Made MiUK ONE Boot

Proudly displaying its “Made In England” stamp on its black-and-silver leather upper, New Balance‘s latest addition to its line of football boots, the MiUK ONE, makes a stand against more glitzy modern boot trends, opting instead for a classic shape and material and a back-to-basics color palette. Crafted in the firm’s British factory in the Cumbrian town of Flimby, the MiUK ONE sees high-quality leather that has been paired with a high-performance Visaro Pro outsole and a removable cushioned footbed to give a modern take on a classic form.

New Balance Football’s general manager Richard Wright expects the boot – which come impeccably packaged with an accompanying cleaning kit — to be popular with collectors and players alike. “It has been great to work with our professional development team at Flimby, who have over 30 years of experience of manufacturing high quality footwear in the UK,” he says. “The MiUK ONE is testament to where we have come from and where we want to be as we continue to grow in the football sector.” Just 2,000 pairs of the boots have been made and they go on sale on December 8 at selected retailers worldwide and on the New Balance website.
