Suff Daddy & Mayer Hawthorne Share “Paper Proclamation” Video

Suff Daddy is linking up with Mayer Hawthorne for his new single, “Paper Proclamation.” The official music video for the synth bap-heavy tune has just emerged. While the Berlin-based artist and the Michigan crooner remain entirely absent from the clip visible, it features people on the streets of South Africa performing the song. Directed, Edited, Filmed by Eric van den Hoonaard. The song comes off Suff Daffy’s new album, Birdsongs, which refers to “sounds that are melodious to the human ear. Some groups are nearly voiceless, producing only percussive and rhythmic sounds, such as the storks, which clatter their bills. In some manakins (Pipridae), the males have evolved several mechanisms for mechanical sound production, including mechanisms for stridulation not unlike those found in some insects.” Watch the powerful clip above.
