Diamondback Level Link Launch

As part of the launch of their newly designed Level Link suspension platform, Diamondback Bikes have released a new video featuring pro rider and all-around wild card Mike Hopkins. The video follows Hopkins shredding at a number of locations, including a slot canyon. We’ll have a full review of the new Diamondback Release, which features Level Link, coming soon.

Café du Cycliste Mercan’Tour

Café du Cycliste announced a new ride in collaboration with Club Alpes Azur that will take place in June of 2016. The event is the only “cycling sportive” that has been granted access to Mercantour National Park. The route features infamous climbs like the Col de la Bonette and will cover 180km.

A Team of International Climbers Made the First Winter Ascent of Nanga Parbat

On February 27, a team of international climbers made the first winter ascent of Nanga Parbat. The mountain is an 8,126-meter peak in the western Himalaya and was one of only two 8,000-meter peaks in the region that hadn’t seen a winter ascent. Now, the only 8,000-meter peak unclimbed in winter in the region is K2.

Mark Healy Paddles Into 60-Foot Wave at Jaws

In an epic session at Hawaii’s Jaws, surfer Mark Healy paddled into one of the biggest paddle-in waves in the region in the last 15 years. In the video released by Saxx Underwear, Healy can be seen making the drop of the massive wave before riding out the white wash and coming out unscathed.

Evelyn Stevens Sets New Women’s Hour Record

American cyclist Evelyn Stevens has surpassed Australian Bridie O’Donnell for the women’s cycling hour record. Stevens set the new record at 47.980 kilometers. She held an average speed of 48.014 km/h throughout the event.
