MEDITATIVE READING SPACE: KOSHA CHAIR BY CLAUDIO D’AMORE

Mid-way between art and design, the arc-shaped Kosha chair lives up to its name in Sanskrit: a “protective sheath” for the physical self or mind. Designed by Swiss-Italian designer Claudio D’Amore, Kosha is meticulously hand-crafted from 33 strips of wood. We’re loving the organic form and built-in niches – the latter for bookworms to store their favorite titles. Comfort is ensured by way of the leather headrest and seating.

The Kosha chair is an enviable recluse from the hustle and bustle of city life. Don’t say that we didn’t warn you though – it might encourage anti-social behavior.
