Nomiya, a Japanese word for “little bars”, is a chic new restaurant that is located on the roof of one of the coolest museum in Paris – Palais de Tokyo.

Nomiya looks like a rectangular glass box as big as a shipping container, holding a dozen guests who want to spice up their lunch/dinner with excellent views of Eiffel Tower.

One of the interesting experiences is about the reservation as there is only one table available.

So if you book only two seats, you will have to eat with another 10 strangers, and the “strange encounter” is actually part of the plan.

Reservations, for up to 12 seats, are available one month ahead of the desired date, starting at 10 a.m.

Big spenders can bid in auctions for special-occasion meals, such as Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve.

Those who don’t manage to get a reservation can still visit Nomiya, with free tours every half hour in the afternoons.

The 24-ton curiosity will stay here for a year.

Meals are 60 euros for lunch, 80 euros for dinner, wine included.
