adidas Drops “Hawaiian Holiday” Skate Video

In recent months, adidas Skateboarding has collaborated with Shepard Fairey on an ultra-limited Samba ADV and helped out with a BEYOND THE STREETS event. Now, adidas heads to Hawaii’s Wakiki Beach for a new skate video.

Fittingly-known as “Hawaiian Holiday,” adidas’s latest skate visual features a flood of eye-catching tricks and a visit to the notorious Wallows ditch. Notably, the legendary Mark Gonzales, Magnus Bordewick, Dennis Busenitz, Daewon Song, Donta Hill, Alec Majerus, Nora Vasconcellos and Deandre Thebpanya star in the vignette.

“IF YOU WERE SKATING IN 1989, you undoubtedly saw photos and/or footage (or at the very least heard about) Mark Gonzales’ jaw-dropping channel ollie at the NSA mini-ramp comp in Hawaii that year. Two-thousand-eighteen marks Gonz’ 20-year anniversary with adidas,” reads a statement from Thrasher. “To celebrate, the three-stripers teamed up with Thrasher and called in Team Pain to rebuild the iconic Y ramp on the shores of Waikiki Beach. And, of course, they invited Mark and a stocked crew of legends, up-and-comers and current hot shoes to rip the ramp (and the surrounding streets of Honolulu).”
