As we collectively await his forthcoming joint project with MF DOOM & Kaytranada, the young New York rhymer drops off a new 15-track precursor titled, Emperor Nehru’s New Groove. The new mixtape was said to be inspired by the classic Disney flick released back in 2000, The Emperor’s New Groove. According to his Instagram, the project was strictly for his loyal, die hard “nehruvians” saying in the caption, “You all asked for it, so here it is,” further adding, “I came up with the concept for this project in 2014, the real nehruvians know. I thank all of you so much for actively letting me know how much you want new music and how much it has helped your lives, I love every one of you more than you could imagine, available on all your favorite outlets, I present to you all Emperor Nehru’s New Groove.”
Meanwhile, Bishop Nehru’s upcoming joint album with MF DOOM and Kaytranada is called Elevators: Act I & II and could be facing some delays after the tragic, untimely passing of DOOM’s son this week.
