COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT’s SS19 Show Featured Creepy Shirt Face Masks

Earlier this week, COMME des GARÇONS took to the Paris Fashion Week runway to debut its rockabilly-tinged HOMME Plus collection. Now, the Japanese house returned to present the Spring/Summer 2019 collection of its more whimsical SHIRT line.

The show’s first set of looks featured doll-collared shirts in lemon drop yellow, baby blue and bubblegum pink, succeeded by a range of checkered button-ups that sported all-over lettering and bold color-blocking. Playful long-sleeves were emblazoned with branded logos and bowties, while striped oxfords had both patchwork patterns and original Basquiat animal artwork. A creepy element to the presentation’s child-like vibe were the burlap-looking face masks crafted from shirts with eye cut-outs.
