Danny Brown Has Finished Recording a New Album

It looks like Danny Brown is sitting on an album’s worth of new material. In a new interview with FACT, Fool’s Gold’s Nick Catchdubs reveals the following:

“Danny is in the captain’s chair with his music. He’s recorded his album. Like everything he’s done in life, Danny’s gone a different route. He’s gone in a direction that suits him. I think that when he feels like it’s time to unleash this shit, people are gonna be excited. That’s the best place you can be in…You need to be true to yourself and you need to say, this is my voice, this is the way I want to get my shit out there, you’re operating on your own timeline. I find that very, very respectable.”

Danny Brown’s last album was 2013’s Old, which was met with a great deal of acclaim. Since them, the Adderall Admiral has appeared sporadically on tracks from different artists, remixes and other loose cuts. He’s also spent time championing other acts, such as Houston, TX act the Sauce Twinz and his own crew’s equally-eccentric rapper Zelooperz. Considering it’s been about three years since our last full-length project from the Detroit lyricist, we hope a release date is on the horizon.
