Introducing the Biggest Music Box Set of All Time

For those who are weary of double-albums or projects with more than 20 tracks, this is definitely not for you. In conjunction with the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation and esteemed Mozart scholar Cliff Eisen, Decca Classics and Deutsche Grammophon have revealed plans to drop an unbelievably-thorough 200 CD box set filled with Mozart’s body of work. Known as Mozart 225: The New Complete Edition, the collection honors the 225 years since Mozart’s passing and will see release on October 28. The massive project boasts 240 hours of music, which encompasses 4,000 records. For those who purchase the set, they will receive a separate 33-DVD collection of every single Mozart opera as well. Pre-orders on Amazon place the anthology’s price at $479.36, though Presto Classical will allow you to purchase this piece for $350.
