JULIUS Spring 2018 Collection at H.Lorenzo

L.A.-based luxury boutique H.Lorenzo recently hosted a themed pop-up installation by contemporary Japanese label JULIUS, while showcasing its accompanying Spring/Summer 2018 lineup. The exhibit drew inspiration from melting glaciers — revolving around the untamed beauty and overwhelming power of Mother Nature.

Designer Tatsuro Horikawa anchored his brand’s collection around denim, choosing black and indigo-based pieces — stripping away its base pigment through a bleaching process symbolic of a barren land that emerges from thawing ice masses. The range gives way to lightweight outerwear, trousers, and backpacks, which take on various embellishment accents, including extra storage pockets, tagline texts, in addition to fraying and distressed details.
