Kanye West ‘ye’ Album Samples

Kanye West recently shook up the music world by finally dropping his highly anticipated eighth studio album which featured new songs like the challenging “I Thought About Killing You” and the Kid Cudi-assisted “Ghost Town.”

Offering a look at every single sample featured on ye, the creatives at Bandstand made a video highlighting the eclectic array of music Kanye drew from. Proving his musical prowess ‘Ye took samples from a plethora of genres ranging from the classic hip-hop of Slick Rick to the urban contemporary gospel sounds Edwin Hawkins Singers. Some other notable features include a sped up snippet from Black Savage on “Yikes,” stripped back drum line from Vanilla Fudge and a Dave Edmunds chorus recreation courtesy of Cudi on “Ghost Town.”
