Kevin Durant Owns up to Tweets on OKC Thunder

In a quick turnaround amidst claims that Kevin Durant was exposed for clapping back at fans via a secret Twitter account, the NBA star has since responded addressing such allegations. First and foremost, he has accepted responsibility for commenting on not wanting to play for Oklahoma City Thunder coach Billy Donovan, while alluding to the team not having enough depth to compete at the level needed to win. Fully remorseful for his actions, KD has admitted to reaching out to coach Donovan and has even lost sleep over his emotionally-riddled tactics. According to a report from USA Today, the All-Star was quoted, stating:

“I own up to it. Everybody else was telling me to relax, to snap out of it, but I was really, really upset with myself more than anything. It’s not the fact that people were talking about me, because I deserve that, but I’m just more upset with myself that I let myself go that far.”

With that said, Durant has, however, denied using a fake account to send out these tweets, saying:

“No, (there’s) no different account. I was just on there talking … I fell asleep watching football. I woke up, had charged my phone, and I just happened to look on Twitter. And I see (the person’s comment that sparked his response), and I just don’t remember it. I remember what I said and how I said it, but I just forget everything else. I forgot everything else. I was only focused on that convo, and that was unfortunate. I look like an idiot.”
