2017 has been a huge year for Khalid, with the singer releasing his debut album, dropping a multi-platinum single and teaming up with everyone from Lorde to Lil Yachty. For his latest track, though, Khalid has gone back to his origins and released a simple acoustic track through his SoundCloud account.
The song, titled “Perfect,” features only the singer’s voice and an acoustic guitar, with the low-key music being reflected in the track’s release. On Twitter, Khalid described “Perfect” as a “song from the soul,” before explaining why he dropped it via Soundcloud: “The first song I released was a rough draft on SoundCloud. I’m leaving this on SoundCloud as well. Thank you guys, love you.”
