Lupe Fiasco Gives 9-Year Overdue GRAMMY Acceptance Speech

Back in 2007, Lupe Fiasco won a GRAMMY in 2007 for “Daydreamin’,” a single off Food & Liquor. However, because the Chicago rapper had pneumonia at that time, he wasn’t able to accept the award. The trophy was thereafter sent to his lawyer, who kept the award in her garage for nine years. When Lupe’s assistant moved it to New York, he was finally able to reunite with the award once again. Watch his belated acceptance speech above.
