Since Maison Margiela first revealed the reconstructed silhouette back in June, the label’s Fusion sneaker has been turning heads. The sneaker comes with a monochrome base, which is offset by touches of color including bright red around the heel and neon green on the lacing unit.
The stand-out feature of the sneaker is the use of dried glue on the upper, which gives the impression of running down the upper. This effect is continued with materials designed to look like duct tape and cracked-white paint on the midsole. Lastly, the fusion is finished with both black and white laces and Maison Margiela’s signature branding on the tongue and sole. The sneaker is available now from the HBX web store for $1409 USD.
