Nike Sportswear Unveils EXP-X14 Sneaker

Nike has just released the official images to its earlier teased, Nike Sportwear’s EXP-X14 silhouette. As a lifestyle model with elements of a performance runner, the EXP-X14 derives its “X-14” name from the original internal code for Nike’s React technology. The EXP at the beginning of the name stands for “Experiment,” as the team at Nike focused on bringing to life a lifestyle/performance model with transparent uppers — based around the Nike Zoom Drive.

Featuring an exposed TPU plate, a tapered heel and a Flywire lacing system, the EXP-X14’s profile mimics that of a Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%. Another interesting detail can also be found in the form of the letters and numbers “N3546” seen across the sneaker’s medial side — paying homage to Steve Prefontaine’s 3 minutes and 54.6 seconds mile time.

Look for these to drop on Nike’s SNEAKRS app on June 28 for Europe, where North America will see a later release date on July 5.
