PUMA has teamed up with Sneakers76, the cult retailer located in Taranto, Italy, to release an exclusive version of the Blaze of Glory sneaker based off of an Ancient Greek legend. The original Trinomic running sneaker was born in the early ’90s during an important period in PUMA’s design history. Today, PUMA and the Italian retailer chose the Taranto tale of “The Legend of the Dolphin” as inspiration for the retro sneaker. The special edition Blaze of Glory silhouette features a premium suede upper with colors drawn from the dolphin depicted on Taranto city’s emblem, suede brown lace guards, a white midsole with ‘water drop’ effects, a Sea Blue outer sole and matching sockliner. Additional details include gold foil serial numbers on the heel tabs, a gold emblem of Taranto city embossed on the heels and leather logo branding on the tongue. Made exclusively for Sneakers76′s 10th anniversary, each pair will come with a History Box 03/04 from the saga “A Tale Through Stories, Legends and symbols of our Territory,” as well as a Jason Markk cleaning kit. The Sneakers76 x PUMA Blaze of Glory “Legend of the Dolphin” will release on December 17 at Sneakers76 and select retailers globally.
