Pornic Nautic and Technique Voile were the two division champions at Jeanneau’s first Sun Fast World Cup, which was held in good conditions over an April weekend in Brittany, north-western France.
The two-day event was held in La Trinité-sur-Mer and attracted 33 boats, with 29 crews from France, three from England and one from Lithuania, with all competing in four races – two round-the-buoys and two coastal – organised by race director Christophe Gaumont.
Pornic Nautic, skippered by Jean-Yves Jaffrezic, topped the podium in the Sun Fast 3200 division, followed by EDM Service in second and Team Delta Voiles Plaisance in third in a class featuring 23 yachts.
Technique Voile, skippered by Frédéric Duthil, topped the 10-strong Sun Fast 3600 division ahead of Ciao Ciao and Tip.
Jeanneau presented the new Sun Fast 3300 to international media and competing owners at the two-day event, which was supported by TBS, Harken, Fonderie Lemer, Technique Voile, Gaspa Joe, USHIP and the Société Nautique de La Trinité-Sur-Mer.
