adidas Sends Giannis Antetokounmpo A Van Full Of Yeezys And More

The NBA season is just weeks away and already hopes are massively high for Giannis Antetokounmpo, the 23-year-old superstar that could potentially be an MVP candidate this season. Nicknamed the “Greek Freak”, Giannis has shown the ability to be not only a superstar talent on the court, but a successful brand pitchman off the court. Giannis was in the final deal of his current Nike contract and actually declined any discussions regarding a contract extension in order to focus on basketball, but it appears that adidas may have locked up the Bucks phenom because he just showed off an incredible gift from the brand – a van filled with adidas gear.

Nike reportedly has a clause in the contract that allows it to match any offer. A deal hasn’t been announced and Giannis is seen wearing the Kobe AD in the video, but it looks more probable that he’s now aligned with the German brand. adidas is the only one of the major brands that reported increase in sales in basketball footwear; Nike and Under Armour have reported declines in sales.
