After G-Dragon officially joined the Nike family late last year with his Para-Noise collaboration, talks of a forthcoming follow-up boiled to the surface shortly thereafter. Teases of a Chuck 70 lent with it some insight as to what the South Korean superstar had in mind, but according to recent leaks, it seems his relationship with the Swoosh is not quite over just yet as yet another Air Force 1 has been revealed.
Seemingly distinct and further emblematic of the Big Bang leader’s DIY style, the pair comes minimal in terms of color though vibrant via execution; black uppers comprise much of the outward aesthetic, finishing matte in a faded leather that looks as if it would stay black even after subsequent and heavy wear. At the seams, red stitching zig-zags and crosses at the profile paneling and forefoot, respectively, with matching embellishments along the bottom of the heel wrap and topmost eye stay preferring more rounded line work. The check itself, dressed in white just as the tread, laces, heel tab, and more minute detailing, construct with a gridded material superimposed with two outlines — one a straight sew and the innermost a dotted variation — superimposed atop. Insoles will likely ideate with the artistic styles of PEACEMINUSONE a la the last pair and we can only hope to see some of the same pins, tweaks, and twists down the road.
