KITH KITHSTRIKE New Balance 990v2 Dusty Pink Release Info

If this past year has proved anything, it’s that history repeats itself. Even in sneaker culture, we’re seeing this unfold before our very eyes: Nike SB has achieved a meteoric rise back to the limelight, OG Jordans and 1985 shapes are hitting calendars now more frequently, and runners are getting much more attention alongside the once associated pinroll. And among Mizuno, ASICS, and Saucony, New Balance reigns supreme by a small margin, seemingly holding claim over the category as they dish out frequent collaborations with icons like Aime Leon Dore and longtime family member Ronnie Fieg.

Reinstating his KITHSTRIKE program for what is the first time in many years, the streetwear figurehead just proffered a very clean Rose-colored New Balance 990v2, providing one of the few follow-ups to the aforementioned peer’s colorful collaboration. Teased aggressively through his social media, Fieg was remiss to mention any release info, building up hype to a shock drop that quickly came and went. Nostalgic not only in aesthetic but also execution, the entire release is but a reminder of the runner craze — simple suede constructions, pastel colorings, and inordinate hype all in tow.

If you were hoping to get your hands on these, then you’re unfortunately out of luck as these have since sold out. It is likely, however, that we’ll see many more drops from the multi-hyphenate and NB in due time.

In other news, the Air Max 95 is remixing its OG colors.
