LA-based runner/artist Nathan Bell is collaborating with Nike yet again, releasing a two-pack of new takes on the classic Nike Cortez — white/black and pink/white — after recently premiering a special Zoom Fly SP. Bell is known for his hand-scrawled doodles and clever puns, and they’re on full display here: the pink/white pair features a “Last One Gets A Rotten Egg” graphic on the medial side, while the white/black pair opts for an alternating “I Love 2 Run/I Hate 2 Run” graphic. A unicorn horn-adorned Cortez scribble then appears on the heel, and each pair is then completed by further whimsical graphic hits on the insoles. As the Cortez was geared towards high-performance running upon its original release in 1972, it’s only right that it serves as a part of Bell’s extensive running-themed Nike capsule collection — and both colorways are available now on Nike.com for a reasonable retail price of $85 USD.
