Nike Air Force 1 Low Schematic Sketch CW7581-100

Never shy about referencing its old work in new products, Nike has recently designed two pairs of the Blazer Mid ’77 with schematic themes akin to Tinker Hatfield’s “Sketch To Shelf” Air Max 1. And now, we learn that the barebones treatment will soon grace the iconic Air Force 1 as part of a rumored “Sketch Pack.”

The Air Force 1 Low mimics its mid-top ’70s counterpart as it takes a much simpler approach than previous “Schematic” arrangements. Employing a “White/Game Royal” color scheme, the former serves as the latter’s canvas given that it takes over pebbled leather uppers and rubber bottoms. Deviating from the silhouette’s timeless triple-white look, “Game Royal” animates various scribbled and sketched details throughout. “1982” text at the medial mudguard marks the Air Force 1’s debut-year and is just one of four written-notes featured throughout the model; others pertain to the name of the sneaker and a reminder as to the placement of the enclosed midsole Air unit. Mini-textile Swooshes at the medial heel replace standard leather ones, which are also forgone on lateral walls given that the signature logo appears as a graphic only partly filled-in; Swooshes on the tongue and insole follow suit, with the latter favoring a white sketching atop a rich blue backdrop. A similar freehand-approach is taken at the heel, which dons “NIKE” branding with some of its lettering incomplete.

No release information is yet known for this Air Force 1 Low or a larger “Sketch Pack,” but a Nike.com release is likely coming in the next few months. Until then, grab a closer look at all the details featured on this barebones pair here below.
