The shoes were designed to reflect her personal growth in the Big Apple, with infusions of her family, personal life, and daily landscape directly communicating with the natives of the city. Whether it be the heartfelt story or the mere popularity of the 98, the “La Mezcla” was a hit in the boroughs – and Nike’s ready to serve up another one just for the concrete jungle real soon. This upcoming in-line release of the Air Max 98 takes on a dark navy and crimson colorway, with pinstripe overlays on the mudguard and dotted trail-style shoe-laces. NYC is spotted on the tongue and insoles in a script-style font, making these even more irresistible in the eyes of the NYers. A release date isn’t confirmed, but expect these on store shelves soon.
