With its translucent TPE upper, Nike’s Vapormax 2019 is a compelling canvas for a wide variety of colorway options, and for its latest release it’s taken on a wild mix of summer-ready hues. Although the shoe is indeed 2019 in name, its palette wouldn’t look terribly out-of-place on a ’90s TV network logo, as it uses both teal and royal blue for its base colors and then disperses red and volt accents thorough the midfoot and heel areas. There’s an interesting textured hit to be had here as well, with the heel clip featuring a textured tennis ball-style material. A silver tongue/throat and a repeating Vapormax text hit on one of the taped seams add further to the look, and down below, a sparkling, semi-translucent Vapormax cushioning unit promises that the shoe’s comfort is just as compelling as its look.
