Retailer Off The Hook is certainly well-versed when it comes to collaborative sneakers, as they’ve crafted a diverse tapestry with Puma, Vans, and the like. But in the years since their very first project, the Montreal-based imprint has only now crossed paths with Reebok, joining them to paint a snow-covered mural onto the Electro 3D 97 silhouette. Aggressively covered with white — a reference to the snowy landscapes the city is well accustomed to — the pair makes a direct nod to the transitioning seasons, what locals dub “snowbreak.” Notable for its lush greenery though still slush-covered grounds, the month-long period is visually embodied in the green leather accents that affix to the tongue, the vibrant camo graphic along the mesh base, and the molded grey overlays at the side. Moreover, seemingly incongruous applications of both hot pink and burgundy lean towards optimism as they aim to greet the Spring days on the way.
