Nike’s React Element 87 has become one of the most popular silhouettes on the market, beloved by casual admirers and hardcore sneakerheads alike due to its futuristic shape and unique detailing. The lower-priced 55 model, which sheds the attractive translucent uppers for a more standard assortment of materials, has received a moderate level of fanfare thus far, but perhaps this collaboration with UK retailer size? will give the model the lift it needs. This special version, inspired by 1988’s classic three-shoe “Escape Pack”, features a ripstop nylon upper with a utility-themed grid design, while premium accents arrive via brown leather and suede on the eyestays and heel with a pop of red courtesy of the tongue branding and heel tab. Of course it wouldn’t really be a React shoe without a striking midsole, and this special 55 offers just that, as the normal grooved white design also boasts grey plugs for contrast.
