Alexander Wang x adidas Originals Spring/Summer 2019

Following on from last year’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection, Alexander Wang and adidas Originals have continued their ongoing collaboration for Season Five. The latest collection is inspired by 1980s “club leisure,” with pieces designed for both club and gym settings.

The collection’s athletic influence covers pieces such as cycling shorts, cropped tees, bodysuits, leggings, gym shorts and track jackets. In a nod to the rave inspiration, pieces throughout the collection come featuring nostalgic-style graphics reminscent of the 1980s “club leisure” theme. This influence is also referenced through a color palette covering “Hot Pink,” “Seafoam Green” and “Bright Yellow.”

As well as apparel, Season 5 also sees Alexander Wang and adidas Originals unveil new sneaker styles. Arguably the stand-out sneaker of the four is the brand new AW Wangbody Run, which comes in a ’90s-inspired leather upper and an outsole based on the Marathon TR. Elsewhere, the AW Bball Soccer and AW Bball see new colorways including “Chalk Pearl” and “Clear Pink”

The full collection from the two brands is set to hit select adidas retailers and the adidas web store on April 20. Take a look at every piece in the collection below.
