G-SHOCK Singapore x Jahan Loh GM-6900 Animation

G-SHOCK Singapore has teamed up with the Lion City’s home-grown contemporary artist Jahan Loh for its new GM-6900 accompanying animation, dubbed “There is No Planet B.”

An extension of Loh’s “Intergalactic Dreams,” his body of work that encourages conversation about global warming, “There is No Planet B” is set in the year 2069 (a nod to the GM-6900), and tells of a possible future where Earth is soon becoming uninhabitable, and space reconnaissance troopers are sent out scouting planet after planet for mankind’s new home.

In the video, a spaceman is 70,000 light years from Earth. Now on Planet M30 in the Sagittarius Dwarf Spherodical Galaxy, he runs to return to his ship, and on his wrist is the new metal-forged G-SHOCK GM-6900: featuring a gold-colored metal bezel, digital face and metal buckle. It also comes paired with a resin strap, and is shock and 20 BAR water resistant (approx. 200m in depth).

“The GM-6900 is as tough as they come,” comments Loh. “And I see it being tough enough to withstand all intergalactic climates and terrain.”
