Game-Worn Air Jordan 1 Sets Auction Price Record at $560,000 USD

The game-worn and autographed Air Jordan 1s, mentioned last week, have just sold for a record amount. Estimated to sell at over $100,000 USD, the pair of MEARS-authenticated sneakers sold almost six times over the estimate for a final price of $560,000 USD.

This new Sotheby’s auction price also sets a new world record for the highest price sold for any sneaker — surpassing the previously-documented record of $437,500 USD for Nike’s Waffle Moon Shoe.

This announcement comes just in time for the last two episodes of the hit Michael Jordan documentary The Last Dance.
