Released in 2018, this retro fueled nostalgia with elephant print on the heel and around the toe box, the Jumpman logo on the tongue and “Nike Air” branding on the heel — all details that harken back to the original Tinker Hatfield-designed style. The shoe’s black tumbled leather upper is complemented by red and grey coloring to finish off the true-to-the-original silhouette.

Last year’s All Star Weekend saw another eclectic Travis Scott collaboration with the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 33 NRG “Army Olive,” featuring the Houston rapper’s take on a performance Jordan model. An earth-tone color scheme is highlighted on a mesh upper in “Army Olive,” complemented by a suede heel panel in “Ale Brown.” Finishing details include Cactus Jack-branded right tongues, pops of volt for the branded areas and all over the style, while a white rubber sole tops off the design. A customary Jumpman logo stands out in white against the black leather construction on the left tongue.

The 2019 edition of the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” was released for the All Star Game last year. The style was first worn by MJ when he beat the Lakers in 1991 to capture his first NBA title. The design and colorway remain true to the original with black nubuck offset by hits of high-vis “Infrared” on the midsole, heel tab and lace lock. Original Nike branding remains, adorning the heel and sockliner.

The Chicago-centric trend continues on the new Air Jordan 34 with colorful heel tabs inspired by Chicago’s transit system. The Air Jordan 34 “Iridescent” is designed to shine on the hardwood thanks to iridescent detailing on the eyestay and heel panel, the latter accented with mismatched multicolor pull loops and Nike Air logo hits. The rest of the all-white upper is constructed from semi-translucent mesh and synthetic, complete with similarly mismatched red and blue Flight branding on each tongue. The mid-top is anchored by a crisp white midsole and an icy translucent rubber midsole.

The Air Jordan 9 Retro “UNC” is inspired by Michael Jordan’s time in North Carolina and the fact that he’s an owner of the Charlotte Hornets. In that spirit, the design replicates an Air Jordan 9 Low from 2002, sporting a white leather upper that’s complemented by “Midnight Navy” overlays in patent leather. The shoes are finished with “University Blue” Jumpman logos at the heel, midfoot and outsole, while the tongue sees “Air Jordan” text branding.

As a true-to-the-original construction of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe, the Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 “Varsity Red” was limited to just 23,000 pairs in honor of its namesake’s jersey number. A nod to MJ’s first AJ1, the style is essentially a flip of the “Banned/Bred” stylings as seen on the forefoot and midfoot. The heel, collar and signature red Swoosh remain untouched, while the high collar and red sole finish off the clean offering.

Originally released in 2009, the All Star edition of LeBron James’ seventh signature shoe features a “Chlorine Blue” finish on the upper, complete with a tonal woodgrain effect on the wraparound overlay. Contrasting black hits appear on the collar, Swoosh and Flywire cables. The midsole, similarly finished in black, rides atop a full-length visible Max Air unit.
