Ken Block Takes His Death-Defying Drifts to the Desert in 'Terrakhana'

Last September’s Gymkhana Nine was one of Ken Block‘s best pieces of rally mastery yet, but the driving icon has outdone himself with his latest piece. Following up last year’s eight minutes of industrial park-set drifting glory, Block has moved from the industrial park to the desert for his latest vid, linking up with Pennzoil to present Terrakhana. Ditching 2016 Ford Focus RS RX of Gymkhana Nine, Terrakhana sees the return of Gymkhana Eight‘s Ford Fiesta RX43 as Block unleashes 600 hp in Swing Arm City, Utah, withstanding 102° F temps at elevations as high as 4,300 feet. Said Block to Top Gear:

It’s basically taking that driving style that I do in the Gymkhana videos and applying it in other unique situations. This new one (‘Terra’ meaning earth)… we’re doing it in a unique dirt-type situation. I’ve always wanted to take that driving style and do different things with it.

Check out Terrakhana above in its entirety to see the Fiesta RX43 tear up the southern Utah desert.
