Lady and The Tramp Is Getting a Live-Action Remake

With Dumbo, Aladdin and The Lion King leading the way in Disney‘s latest live-action venture, the classic hit Lady and The Tramp will now also be joining in.

A first look at the revamp was spotted during Disney+’s announcement event on Thursday. At one part, direct to consumer chairman Kevin Mayer was showing off the user interface when a photo of a real-life Lady and the Tramp appeared on screen. It’s reported that Charlie Bean directed the project which was written by Andrew Bujalski and produced by Bringham Taylor.

Lady and the Tramp will star Tessa Thompson as Lady and Justin Theroux as Tramp. Janelle Monae, Thomas Mann, Kiersey Clemons, Benedict Wong, Ashley Jensen, and Yvette Nicole Brown have also been casted. Take a look at the new iteration below. The live-action version of Lady and the Tramp will be available at launch on November 12, 2019.

Disney+ is set to house its classic films along with its Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar titles and a bevy of original projects in both movies and TV.
