Pigalle Spring/Summer 2020 Runway Collection PFW

France’s Pigalle continues to deliver sophisticated, fashion-forward looks that draw upon Stéphane Ashpool basketball heritage. Sleek silk pajama-style garments are accented by court-ready shorts and sweats, with another collaborative Jordan offering to complement the luxurious layering pieces.

In line with the French label’s recent output, Pigalle continues to mesh imaginative makeup and headgear with garments that seem to be designed by athletes of the future. Luxurious textiles, briliant colors and relaxed shapes all mingle in the latest collection, shifting from tonal, pajama-like separates to woven sweatpants, ribbed blazers and cropped hooded pullovers. Elsewhere, distressed knitwear, graphic sweaters, distressed workwear and piecemeal chore coats sat atop painted Air Force 1s and Converse Star Series shoes.

Nike and Pigalle have united several times, even as recently as this year’s Jordan Brand collaboration, and Spring/Summer 2020 sees the partners rejoin for more special items and footwear. The Jumpman logo and 23 branding is given preferential treatment, printed atop T-shirts, sweatpants and a translucent trucker jacket with bold text. Rainbow accents and retro logos accent the familiar branding, breathing new life into the classic iconography via thoughtful garments and statement hues.
