Having already gone some way toward changing hearts and minds about the state of the Helmut Lang label under the direction of editor-in-residence Isabella Burley, Hood By Air’s Shayne Oliver continues the reinvigoration process with Pre-Spring 2018. Following on from the success of a much-hyped “Autumn Tour” merch capsule, the first drop of the “Re-Edition” collection, and the recent reveal of its Resort 2018 range, this latest release further builds on the brand’s contemporary direction with Burley at the helm and Oliver as designer-in-residence.
Shot by Canada’s 017 store, the Pre-Spring 2018 collection makes a series of bold adaptations to otherwise blank canvases, focusing on details such as extra-long sleeves and oversized silhouettes, with the predominantly monochrome range accented by flashes of red and orange.
