Sies Marjan and OMA Release Guggenheim Capsule Line

Sies Marjan has teamed up with AMO, the research branch of architectural firm OMA, to create a new capsule collection. The limited-edition collection celebrates the new exhibition from OMA’s founder, Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, at the Guggenheim Museum, titled “Countryside, The Future.”

“Following our runway collection, we wanted to create something collaborative and accessible with AMO to celebrate the launch of the exhibition. The capsule is the final result of our work together,” said Sies Marjan founder, and fellow Dutchman, Sander Lak in a press release.

The capsule includes casual apparel like printed T-shirts as well as accessories like an umbrella, tote bag, blanket and scarves. The pieces feature prints either inspired by or directly sourced from the Guggenheim exhibition, which intends to show a respect and reverance for nature.

The exhibition, which will be on view at the Guggenheim from February 20 to August 14, explores how change affects rural parts of the world. It features a mix of mediums such as photographs, videos and archive materials. The exhibtion was also partly sponsored by Sies Marjan.

Prices for the limited-edition capsule range from $35 to $245 USD, with pieces available on Sies Marjan’s online store as well as SSENSE. The collection also includes a Drenthe Heath Pillow created by Claudy Jongstra, which can be purchaed on 1stdibs. Visitors to the exhibtion will also be able to shop the capsule at the Guggenheim store.
