Teenage Engineering x IKEA FREKVENS Home Party Products

IKEA has enlisted fellow Swedish imprint Teenage Engineering for a U.S.-exclusive capsule of ultimate home party gear, dubbed the “FREKVENS” collection.

Teenage Engineering is a Stockholm-based creative made up of engineers and programmers that are all passionate about music and electronics. IKEA, known for its affordable homeware, meatballs and recent foray into the world of tech with its Sonos collaboration, kept this in mind when collaborating with the collective, resulting in a collection of well-priced party essentials such as a speaker with a subwoofer, LED spotlights with an accompanying tripod, a sound-responsive light, and even indoor-outdoor equipment such as a bar table, bar stools, a tote bag and a blanket.

Continuing the indoor-outdoor theme of its ultimate home party collection is the true-raver staple reflective silver raincoat, and for something more intimate, a Cajón drum. But it’s Teenage Engineering x IKEA’s sound and lighting equipment that takes the limelight, with Bluetooth-enabled speakers offered in two sizes, interchangeable spotlight accessories and a tactile portable speaker priced at $19.99 USD all coming together for a unique youth-centric experience.

The Teenage Engineering x IKEA FREKVENS collection will release in key stores from today, with more stock hitting wider U.S.A. states until February 1, where the collection will be available until stocks last.

In other news, Zaha Hadid Design has launched a collection of exclusive furniture pieces at Harrods.
