Transparency and Extravagance Defining Contemporary Home in Mexico City

Casa Lomas de Chapultepec is a modern architecture project designed by Mexican studioPaola Calzada Arquitectos and located in Chapultepec, a residential district in Mexico City. The three main volumes of the residence overlook an internal courtyard with a swimming pool and plenty of space for outdoor leisure. Transparency is probably the most striking attribute of the residence, which features floor to ceiling windows throughout.

Once inside, a potential visitor is likely to be impressed by the highly modern furniture elements, materials and arrangements, Natural stone and wood dominate the interiors, being “responsible” for most of the indoor textures and preventing monotony. The double-height living room acts as the focal point of the project and is also the place where socializing feels most at home. Just a single and not-too-thick layer of glass separates this interior from the spectacular swimming pool and relaxing garden. How would you comment on the overall design of this house in Mexico City?
