{"id":13252,"date":"2016-03-14T13:55:02","date_gmt":"2016-03-14T17:55:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/rides\/platinum-yachts-unveils-the-worldaes-largest-superyacht\/"},"modified":"2016-03-14T13:55:02","modified_gmt":"2016-03-14T17:55:02","slug":"platinum-yachts-unveils-the-worldaes-largest-superyacht","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/rides\/platinum-yachts-unveils-the-worldaes-largest-superyacht\/","title":{"rendered":"Platinum Yachts unveils the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s largest superyacht"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"57.4807692308\">\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>With her length of 162 metres, Dubai is the largest yacht in the world.<\/strong> She was originally commissioned by a Prince from Brunei and she was to be built at Blohm &#038; Voss in co-operation with L\u00c3\u00bcrssen.<\/p>\n<p>When a large part of the hull and superstructure of Project Panhandle\/Golden Star was completed, the construction stopped and <strong>the unfinished yacht was sold to the ruler of Dubai.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following the sale, <strong>the project was renamed Platinum<\/strong> and transported from Germany to Dubai for completion at the newly formed shipyard, Platinum Yachts.<br \/><span id=\"more-9227\"\/><br \/><strong>With eight decks, the Dubai can accommodate 115 people including a crew of 88.<\/strong> In addition to the swimming pool, Jacuzzis, helipad and multiple dining areas, saloons, guest and VIP suites, the yacht features two owner\u2019s suites on the sixth and seventh decks and two heli-observations rooms on the seventh and eighth decks,  <strong>Superyacht Times reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She has a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots with a range of 8,500 nautical miles.<\/p>\n<p>However, <strong>the Dubai may not hold its world\u2019s largest yacht title for long<\/strong>.
