{"id":14143,"date":"2016-03-21T01:08:44","date_gmt":"2016-03-21T05:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/rides\/mclaren-675lt-revealed\/"},"modified":"2016-03-21T01:08:44","modified_gmt":"2016-03-21T05:08:44","slug":"mclaren-675lt-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/rides\/mclaren-675lt-revealed\/","title":{"rendered":"McLaren 675LT revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"83.3582089552\">\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The wraps are finally off the serially-teased\u00a0McLaren 675LT, the sportiest model in what the company now calls its \u201cSuper Series\u201d line.<\/p>\n<p>With a devilish 666bhp on tap, aggressive styling and a set-up that\u2019s as track-focused as possible while remaining road-legal, the McLaren 675LT could well be the quintessential supercar.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-108437\" alt=\"McLaren 675LT interior\" src=\"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/McLaren-675LT-revealed.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/McLaren-675LT-revealed.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.luxuo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/McLaren-675LT-interior-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>McLaren Automotive has only been in business for four years yet in that time it has managed to go from a standstill to being neck and neck with the best that Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche have to offer.<\/p>\n<p>However, with its latest car, the 675LT, it may just have overtaken all of its serious competition!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-108436\" alt=\"McLaren 675LT back\" src=\"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/1458536923_480_McLaren-675LT-revealed.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/1458536923_480_McLaren-675LT-revealed.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.luxuo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/McLaren-675LT-back-768x543.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The car\u2019s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 675PS or 666bph and that power enables the almost completely carbon-fiber car to accelerate from 0-100km\/h in 2.9 seconds and onto a top speed of 205mph (330km\/h).<\/p>\n<p>To put those figures into perspective, Ferrari\u2019s latest V8 supercar, the 488GTB, which will also be making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, offers 660bhp, a top speed of 208mph (334kph) and a 0-100km\/h dash time of 3.0 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-107177\" title=\"Ferrari 488GTB\" alt=\"Ferrari 488GTB\" src=\"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/1458536924_679_McLaren-675LT-revealed.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"431\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Porsche 911 Turbo S has just 553bhp and a top speed of 197mph (317km\/h) and its 0-100km\/h time is 3.1 seconds; while the latest small Lamborghini, the Huracan offers 602bhp from its V10 engine a 202mph+ (325+km\/h) top speed and 0-100km\/h in 3.2 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eJnWPhSQjPs?rel=0&#038;showinfo=0\" height=\"338\" width=\"600\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The latest McLaren annihilates its competition. But supercars are about so much more than performance. They\u2019re about heritage and about style.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of heritage, McLaren has it in spades.
