As its name suggests, the vehicle marks the silver anniversary of Hennessey\u2019s dedication to turning automobiles into absolute beasts. Which is, of course, the perfect excuse to create the most beefed-up Mustang the tarmac has seen.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_134220\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image: hennesseyperformance.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the heart of said monster sits a regular 5.0-liter V8 engine with an upgraded 2.9-liter supercharger system, which together with new fuel injectors, a carbon fiber high-flow air induction kit and recalibrated ECU, propels the 804 bhp car from zero to 60 mph in only 3.1 seconds, and runs a quarter mile in 10.7 seconds. To put things into perspective, the regular GT only manages\u00a0416bhp, which brings the car from nought to 62mph in 4.8 seconds; last year\u2019s Hennessey iteration \u2013 the HPE750 \u2013 kicked out 774bhp and clocked 3.4 seconds.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_134218\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-134218 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/1467034396_821_Hennessey-Mustang-GT-HPE800-25th-Anniversary-Model.jpg\" alt=\"Image: hennesseyperformance.com\/\" width=\"800\" height=\"532\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image: hennesseyperformance.com<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But Hennessey isn\u2019t all brawn and no brains. A couple of aerodynamic modifications such as carbon fiber front spliter, rear spoiler, and side sills help boost the car\u2019s performance, along with lower suspension and 15-inch Brembo brakes that reel the car in.
