Her three carbon Rondal masts and booms were installed and tuned at Royal Huisman\u2019s Amsterdam facility.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly all onboard systems, such as gensets, air-conditioning, waste-water treatment and electronics, were thoroughly tested in the year prior to launch to avoid any surprises during the commissioning stage.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_228577\" style=\"width: 670px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-228577\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-228577\" src=\"https:\/\/thatdope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/1592370858_845_Sea-Eagle-II-Flies-Across-North-Sea-in-Successful-Sail.jpg\" alt=\"Sea Eagle II was designed by Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and Mark Whiteley\" width=\"660\" height=\"482\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-228577\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sea Eagle II was designed by Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and Mark Whiteley<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>This spring, strict Covid-19 regulations and detailed protocols introduced eventually allowed the team to pick up where they left off. The sail handling and remaining propulsion systems were successfully tested and signed off during recent trials, which even during testing gave very promising insights into this yacht\u2019s capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Spectacular speeds over 21 knots can be achieved by powering up <em>Sea Eagle II<\/em>\u2019s Rondal rig, which can carry over 3,500sqm of sail area evenly distributed over her carbon Panamax masts.<\/p>\n<p>The full sail area is controlled by 34 winches from sailing system integrator Rondal.
